Dr. Asher A. Turney

Dr. Asher A. Turney (Dr. Asher or Dr "A") is a native of Alabama and  graduated from Sparkman High School in the Toney Community. He was awarded numerous academic scholarships in his graduating class while at Sparkman. He then went to college in Nashville, Tennessee and attended and subsequently graduated from Fisk University and Meharry Medical College gaining a bachelors in Biology and a Doctorate of Medicine. During his medical education, he also trained at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, and the Mayo Clinic. He has surgical experience from Massachusetts Hospital and University of Alabama in Huntsville. He has completed an internship at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital. He has a Master of Business Administration from Emory Goizueta Business School. His practice is focused on managing complex medico-surgical problems in general practice setting.  He has served as an emergency medicine physician for the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He is leading the walk-in clinic to provide more hours of availability for our patients in the most challenging times.
