Asher A. Turney, MD, MBA, Executive Director

Dr.  Asher Turney (or Dr. "A") has been serving as the Executive Director of Hwy. 53 Medical Center, Inc. since its opening of the Dan Crutcher Clinic in November 2007. Since opening the new Hwy 53 Medical Center, he will be serving as a part-time medical provider in its walk-in clinic and family practice clinic. In addition to being a physician at Choice Medicine, he is an emergency physician for the hospital servicing the University of the South in Sewanee, TN.  

Dr. Turney received his Bachelors of Biological Science from Fisk University, and his Doctorate of Medicine from Meharry Medical College, both in Nashville, TN. He is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and has received numerous academic accolades during his medical and business education. Dr. Turney completed his internship at Harvard Medical School/ Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA., and received his Master of Business Administration from Emory Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, GA. He seeks to build a stronger community by branching out within the local area and forming partnerships that will support the mission of Choice Medicine-to improve access to basic medical care.

Norma Wilson, RN, BSN, Clinical Operations Coordinator

Norma is the Clinical Operations Coordinator for the Hwy 53 Medical Center. She is a registered nurse and certified colon hydro-therapist and is the founder of the Center for Optimum Well Being located in Huntsville Alabama. She is has been a nurse for many years and has significant experience in community health. She enjoys merging traditional medical treatments and alternative medical therapies. She is a effective communicator and has been influential in educating the local public on the benefits of colonic irrigation and its effects on preventing certain illnesses. She also seeks to build a stronger community by breaking the mold and establishing Choice Medicine as a leader in preventative patient care. She plans on increasing the level of awareness of common cancers, diabetes, high blood pressure and other pathological syndromes which can be diagnosed and treated at a much earlier stage to increase life expectancy and quality of life.

Celia Lloyd-Turney, MD,  Medical Director

Dr. Lloyd-Turney ( or Dr. "C") is the Medical Director of Choice Medicine and a full time provider. She is a physician specializing in internal medicine with over 20 years experience in healthcare in underserved communities. Dr. Lloyd-Turney has served the Madison County community at Central North Healthcare and now at Choice Medicine. She has a sincere interest in  providing healthcare to groups that thus far have been left behind by the current healthcare system.  She has been recognized as a prominent figure in community health and has been awarded many accolades for her service to the community.

Larry R. Camp, DMD, Dental Director

Dr. Camp is the Dental Director of Choice Dentistry and a part time provider. He is a practicing dentist at the Dentistry clinic on Mondays and Thursdays for appointments and walk-ins, and on Wednesdays by appointment only. He is a dentist specializing in general dentistry with over 20 years experience in pediatric and adult dental care. Dr. Camp has served the Madison County community at Central North Healthcare and now at Choice Medicine. He is retired military and knows the importance of good dental care for our military men and women in the Madison County community. He has been recognized and has been awarded many accolades for his service to the community and during his military service.
